More About LBI

Towns

There are 6 political subdivisions on LBI with about 8000 permanent residents.

Seasonally

It is estimated that there are as high as 50,000 full-time, seasonal residents

Residents and Visitors

The daily/weekly population during July and August is greater:  typically 75-100,000 mid-week and as much as 150,000 on a big summer holiday.

Super Storm Sandy

Since Super Storm Sandy the population of full-time residents has been decreasing.  Since Covid however there seems to be a possible increase of people staying on LBI full time in and out of season.
