Dear LBI Historian:

Who is the lovely lady in the photo at the beginning of this section?

The LBI Historical Association Museum is fortunate enough to have an original photo of Mary Martin Wharton Miller along with a hand-written description of her on the cardboard backing.

Mary was known for years as Mart Wharton.  She was Spray Beach's first really active real estate broker.  Mary was also known for her sun bonnets and her bicycle.  She was a concert violinist and owned a home on 25th Street in Spray Beach.  Mary was an eclectic early 1900s go gettum!

Another piece of Mary's memorabilia that can be seen at the Museum is her original Real Estate office sign.
