Come Volunteer!

The Association is entirely run by volunteers.  These individuals give their time and talent and sometimes even their own "treasure" to build a fabulous community where all are welcome into the LBI fold.  There are people who have muscle to build and move, people who can sing and entertain, people who have connections to get supplies or run events more frugally, people who know how to run events and people who know accounting and office systems.  And then there are those who want to experience LBI life more and give of their time to run the Museum Shop, run tables at events and shows, bake for bake sales and most importantly become "docents" who escort visitors to the Museum around the displays and answer many questions.  

Volunteers are trained and come from all over.  Some volunteers live locally and lend a hand regularly throughout the off season, however, many are visitors during the summer and make special trips to LBI just to help out.  All of the Volunteers make up the LBI Historical Association.
